Bike Tire Pressure Calculator

Pick your bike type and fill in the parameters - the calculator instantly shows front and rear pressure in bar and PSI. Compare the results of different methods side by side.

Bike type ?The chosen type defines the available methods and parameter set: tire and rim width ranges, condition and surface options. Pick the design closest to your bike.

Common parameters

Details - refine individual methods

Recommended pressure

The pressure is outside the recommended range - check your inputs.
All methods are computed from the same common parameters; the fields in the "Details" block only affect the methods they are tagged with. Any result is a starting point: adjust it by feel and never exceed the maximum printed on the tire and rim.

Pressure and its effects

The right pressure is a balance between rolling speed, grip and pinch-flat protection.

High pressure
  • Lower rolling resistance
  • Pinch-flat protection
  • Less grip
  • Harsh over bumps
Low pressure
  • More grip
  • Comfort
  • Even safer with tubeless
  • Higher pinch-flat risk

Good to know

Never exceed the maximum pressure allowed for the tire and rim!

The maximum pressure is printed on the tire sidewall and on the rim. If they differ, go by the lower one.

The front wheel carries less weight, so its pressure is lower than the rear - the calculator computes both automatically.

Tubeless tires allow lower pressure without pinch-flat risk: for gravel and MTB you can drop 3–7 PSI compared to a tubed setup.
